ITINERARY

Day 1 : Dec 23rd : Jaipur
Arrive at Jaipur and transfer to hotel. Jaipur is known as the “Pink City” after the rusty color that many of the houses are painted. With beautiful palaces, forts, gardens, temples, and unending market streets, it has a bit of everything that Rajasthan has to offer. Afternoon take a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) and visit the City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar Observatory.  Overnight at Jaipur.

Day 2 : Dec 24th: Jaipur – Jodhpur ( 335 kms / 6 hrs )
After breakfast, we leave for Jodhpur, the Blue City. The blue city of Jodhpur has two faces. The quiet and peaceful streets below Mehrangarh fort and the bustling Sardar market. Both are not to be missed, but two different worlds. Jodhpur is called the ” Blue City” because most of the houses are painted blue on the outside. Reach by late afternoon and we visit one of the most famous forts in Rajasthan, the Mehrangarh Fort. This magnificent fort built in the 15th century has many palaces inside it with a large collection of paintings, textiles, Arms and Armour, and other decorative art. Late evening we can visit and explore the Sardar market. Overnight at Jodhpur.

Day 3 : Dec 25th : Jodhpur – Jaisalmer (280kms / 5 hrs )
After breakfast, visit Jaswant Thada and later we leave for Jaisalmer and arrive by late afternoon. Jaisalmer, “The Golden city”, is a World Heritage Site. The town at the edge of the Thar desert, stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone, crowned by a fort, which contains the palace and several ornate Jain temples. This pleasant city, full of color and beauty, is one of the highlights of the Rajasthan itinerary. Late afternoon we explore Bada Bagh and Gadisar Lake. Overnight at Jaisalmer.

Day 4 : Dec 26th : Jaisalmer – Sam Sand dunes ( 50 kms / 1 hr )
After breakfast, we visit Jaisalmer fort and the markets and monuments inside the fort. After lunch we head further into the desert to stay in a desert camp at the edge of the Thar desert. On the way, we stop at the abandoned Kuldhara village. Later we reach the desert camp for the unique experience of staying in the desert. One can also experience camel safaris here. Overnight in tents at Sam Sand Dunes.

Day 5 : Dec 27th : Sam Sand Dunes – Jaisalmer – Osian (280 Kms / 5 hrs )
After breakfast, we leave for Osian, a small village in the Jodhpur district. On the way, we take an offbeat road with very little traffic. We stay at a village homestay in Osain for an authentic Rajasthani village life, culture, and food experience. Overnight at Osian Village Homestay.

Day 6 : Dec 28th: Osian – Udaipur ( 310 kms / 6.5 hrs )
Start early morning for the long ride to Udaipur. On thw way we stop  at the beautiful Kumbhalgarh Fort. Kumbhalgarh Fort, also known as the Great Wall of India, is a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli Hills, about 84 km from Udaipur. This 15th century fort is one of the most beautiful forts in Rajasthan and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  By late evening reach Udaipur. Overnight at Udaipur.

Day 7 : Dec 29th : Udaipur
Udaipur is one of the favorite destinations for many of the people visiting Rajasthan because of its laidback atmosphere and its beautiful location in the Aravali hills. Day to explore Udaipur and its surroundings. Visit City palace, Monsoon Palace, Jagdish temple, Bagore Ki Haveli, Fateh Sagar lake and Eklingji temple. Evening we see the beautiful sunset over the Lake Pichola. Overnight at Udaipur.

Day 8 : Dec 30th – Departure
After breakfast drop to airport. End of trip.

We believe that a small group is can enjoy the journey better and have closer interactions with the group members, therefore, we restrict our group size to a maximum of 15. Group size typically between 5 and 15. Our travelers are friendly, open-minded, well traveled and we have a good gender mix on our tours.
