North Thailand Explorer – 6 Days

Travel to Thailand and experience an intoxicating blend of ancient temples, steamy rainforest trails and raucous markets in Chiang Mai. This is a full-throttle short break that features the best Thailand’s northern region and Bangkok has to offer. Bamboo raft through and ride and elephant in the jungles of Chiang Mai, cruise the Cho Praya river and explore the Grand Palace and go on shopping shopping expeditions through Chiang Mai’s famous Night Bazaar, encountering friendly faces around every corner and feasting on superb Thai cuisine.

ITINERARY

Bangkok & Chiang Mai(5n / 6d)

Day 1 – Bangkok : Arrive in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, where the cityscape reaches both upward and outward, creating the country’s largest metropolis. The charm of the city is hidden beneath the shade of trees, in the bustling marketplaces and around the gilded spires of temples .  The streets are filled with the scent of fresh noodles and decadent fried chicken, where sweet, sour, and spicy come together for an unforgettable combination. Day to explore the markets, go shopping and sample some of Bangkok’s streetfood. Overnight at Bangkok.

Day 2 – Bangkok Sightseeing : After breakfast leave for a full day tour of cultural sights of Bangkok. Set along the waterway of the Chao Phraya River, the Grand Palace is a spectacle to experience, set against the lapping water on the riverbanks. Within the palace complex are sensational temples that house some of the most well-preserved and coveted
Buddhist artifacts, including Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Later after lunch cross to the other bank of the Cho Praya river and visit the beautiful Wat Arun. Later take an evening stroll in the by lanes of Chinatown to experience Bangkok of days gone by. Overnight at Bangkok.

Day 3 – Bangkok to Chiang Mai:After breakfast drive to airport and fly to Chiang Mai. Evening go on a food exploration journey or comb the night market for souvenirs. Overnight at Chiang Mai. .

Day 4 – Chiang Mai: After breakfast, drive to the north of Chiang Mai to the Chiang Dao district and visit the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp. See the elephants taking their morning bath and demonstrating their skills at pushing and pulling logs. Afterwards take an elephant ride that takes you along the river surrounded by the lush green forests. Later relax on a bamboo raft, float along the river and continue to take in the peace and tranquility. After the rafting journey its time for lunch. After lunch drive to the Chiang Dao Caves and take a walk around this unique temple. Later in the afternoon, we will go to Bua Tong Waterfalls for a refreshing swim. Get wet and have fun by climbing to the top of the limestone formation. Back to Chiang Mai by sunset and overnight at Chiang Mai.

Day 5 – Chaing Mai  : Today we explore the Wat Rong Khun, commonly referred to as the White Temple, is a contemporary unconventional Buddhist and Hindu temple in Chiang Rai. Later visit Wat Phra Kaew, famous throughout Thailand as the original home of the translucent green Buddha which graces the Emerald Buddha Temple in Bangkok’s Grand Palace. After lunch visit Royal Flora Rajchapruak, taking a walk and tram ride around the park. This beautiful flower park was created in 2006 by the Royal Thai Government in honor of King Bhumibol the world’s longest reigning monarch. More than 2.5 million trees of 2,200 species of tropical plants and flowers are display to see visit the Chiang Mai Night Safari and take a tram around the park.  Have a chance to see animals that are active only during the night time. Overnight at Chiang Mai.

Day 6 – Chiang Mai – Departure : After breakfast transfer to airport. End of tour.
