Ultimate Egypt Experience : Oct 11th to 19th

More than just pyramids, mummies and that famous river, Egypt is an amazing country with plenty of hidden gems to be explored. Ready to immerse yourself in history, culture and ancient stories?
An adventure story come to life, Egypt is a land of legends. Mysterious pyramids, tombs and temples painted with hieroglyphs render tales of mummies and pharaohs into reality. Alexandria, Cairo and Luxor – some of the ancient world’s most important cities – line the Mediterranean coast and the River Nile, the giver of life in this otherwise bone-dry landscape. Egypt’s history impresses, but it’s often encounters with hospitable, enterprising locals who leave travellers with lasting memories.
On this incredible adventure we visit the pyramids of Giza, see some of the countless artifacts from antient Egypt at the Grand Egyptian Museum, wander through the bustling Khan el Khalili market in Cairo, visit the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Karnak temple at Luxor, see the magnificent Abu Simbel temple south of Aswan and last but not the least enjoy a 2 day cruise on the River Nile.

ITINERARY

Day 1:  Oct 11th : Cairo
Arrive in Cairo, the vibrant heart of Egypt. The energy here is unmatched — a collision of honking horns, swirling markets, and a thousand years of Islamic, Christian, and modern history stacked together.
After pickup from the airport and transfer to hotel, time to relax and rest after the long flight. Later in the evening, we head to Khan El Khalili Market, one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Wandering its maze-like alleys filled with lanterns, spices, antiques, and artisans is the perfect way to tap into Cairo’s soul. It’s more than shopping — it’s a sensory plunge into Egypt’s living history. For dinner you could try traditional Egyptian food like Baba ghanoush, tahini, stuffed vine leaves (wara’ enab), crispy falafel made with fava beans (a uniquely Egyptian twist), Kofta ( mincemeat kabab ), Molokhia, etc. Later, back to the  hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2 : Oct 12th : Cairo – Giza ( Pyramids )
After breakfast, we head to Giza, about an hour from downtown Cairo to witness the magnificent Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx. No matter how many photos or documentaries you have seen, the first glimpse of these marvels of the ancient world will take your breath away. Walk around and understand the ingenuity of ancient Egyptians through our expert local guides. Later, after lunch, we head to the Egyptian Museum. With over 120,000 artifacts, it’s not just a museum; it’s a gateway into 5,000 years of civilization. Once inside, you’re met with a staggering collection: towering statues, papyrus scrolls, jewelry, sarcophagi, and countless everyday objects that tell us how the ancients lived, worshipped, and ruled. But the highlight, without question, is the Treasures of Tutankhamun. Evening back to the hotel in downtown Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3 : Oct 13th : Cairo to Aswan ( Flight )
After breakfast transfer to airport for the flight to Aswan. Arrive in Aswan and transfer to the Hotel. Evening free to explore Aswan town or take a felucca ride. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 4 : Oct 14th : Aswan ( Abu Simbel Day Trip ) – Aswan to Luxor Cruise
Today morning we start early to make the drive from Aswan to Abu Simbel where you’ll explore some magnificent temples. Built by Ramses II, it was the gateway to Egypt for Southern Africans and its imposing facade clearly delineated the line between what was the Pharaoh’s land and what was not. With the four gargantuan statues of Ramses guarding the Great Temple, carved directly out of the mountain on the west bank of the Nile, this is one of Egypt’s most memorable sights. You’ll have two hours to explore Abu Simbel before making the drive back to Aswan. Back to Aswan by afternoon and board the two nights Cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Later dinner on Ship. Overnight on Cruise Ship.

Day 5 : Oct 15th : Aswan to Luxor Cruise ( Via Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples )
After Today we have a full day of Cruising but we also visit the two important temples on the way. Temple of Edfu (Temple of Horus) : Located on the west bank of the Nile in Edfu, this temple is one of Egypt’s best-preserved sanctuaries. Constructed between 237 and 57 BC during the Ptolemaic dynasty, it is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. The temple’s inscriptions provide valuable insights into ancient Egyptian religion and mythology, particularly the legendary conflict between Horus and Seth. Also visit Temple of Kom Ombo : Situated on a promontory overlooking the Nile, approximately 40 km north of Aswan, the Temple of Kom Ombo is unique for its dual dedication to two deities: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris (Horus the Elder). This symmetrical design features duplicate courts, halls, and sanctuaries for each god. After dinner overnight in the Cruise.

Day 6 : Oct 16th : Luxor
After breakfast disembark from the Cruise Ship and transfer to hotel. Rest and relax and day free to explore Luxor town and its beautiful markets. Other things you can do in Luxor is visiting Karnak Temple Complex, Luxor Temple & Avenue of Sphinxes, stroll on the riverside , Sunset sail on traditional felucca along the Nile etc. Overnight at Luxor.

Day 7 : Oct 17th : Luxor ( West Bank & Valley of Kings Tour )
Today we have a full day guided tour of the west bank of the Nile around Luxor and see some of the most important structures of the Middle and New Kingdoms of ancient Egypt. First, we visit the Colossi of Memnon: The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which stand at the front of the ruined Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III, the largest temple in the Theban Necropolis. Next, we visit the Temple of Hatshepsut: The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut is a temple built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Located opposite the city of Luxor, it is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture. After we stop for lunch and later visit the Valley of the Kings: The Valley of the Kings, also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings, is a valley in Egypt where, for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, rock-cut tombs were excavated for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom. Evening, back at the hotel in Luxor. Overnight at Luxor.
